Work Experience

Lilian is currently the Deputy and acting Chairperson of the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission. Her experience is in Education, Psychotherapy, Consulting, Lecturing, Diplomatic and International  Relations and Farming Business.  She was Chairperson of Diplomatic Associations in Canada, USA and Namibia. For five years she practised as a Psychologist in Zimbabwe. While practising Lilian was hired to conduct PMTCT training for Nurses and Doctors in Zimbabwe . All in all she trained close to three hundred nurses and some Doctors. Following the success of the training in Zimbabwe she was contracted by WHO, CESVI and International Red Cross/ Crescent Society to conduct the same training in Lesotho and Swaziland. At the end of the training she developed a Counselling Training Manual to assist Health Professionals in Counselling their clients. While consulting Lilian joined the University of Zimbabwe as a part time lecturer in Psychology in the Department of Rehabilitation. She then joined Zimbabwe Open University as a full time Lecturer in the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences. She assisted in the Development and Launching of the Bsc Degree in Counselling and produced modules for some of the courses. At ZOU she also supervised MA students' projects. Later she became an external examiner for ZOU after then ventured into full time farming .
