Commissioner Leslie Ncube is a Development Expert with over 15 years of experience and service in various development portfolios and spheres. He has a hands on appreciation for peace building ecosystem in Zimbabwe and beyond. Between 2009 and 2013, Commissioner Ncube worked for JOMIC as a Liaison Officer in charge of five provinces in southern Zimbabwe. At JOMIC he gained valuable knowledge on intra party dialogue and conflict resolution intervention strategies. He has also amassed valuable programming experience at National AIDS Council and Southern Africa Trust in Midrand, South Africa. He has also gained leadership and managerial experience as a Director at Kusena Diamonds a joint venture with the state owned Zimbabwe Mining Development Cooperation. Commissioner Ncube is currently pursuing a PhD at University of the Witwatersrand and has a MA in Development Studies, Bsc (Special Hons) Monitoring and Evaluation, BA (Hons) Development Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Development for Municipal Finance (Wits Business School). Commissioner Ncube also holds an internationally accredited certificate on Governance and Peace with the United Nations University in collaboration with Wits School of International Relations. Commissioner Ncube has had the privilege of participating in Rwanda in peace building programs as a research fellow while at Wits, working with a cosmopolitan team of stakeholders coming from African countries. The programs gave great insight of the understanding the challenges and dynamics of conflicts in Africa and how to come up with mitigating strategies to the conflicts. He also gained valuable exposure on participatory peace building initiatives in Denmark and Netherlands respectively.
